Tour Details

Ruaj Ministry  invites you to help in Kenya in 2025

One of the things that Jesus made very clear is that it is our responsibility to help our neighbor, to feed the hungry, to give drink to the thirsty, to clothe the naked, to visit the needy.

The school is MERE SDA PRIMARY SCHOOL in KENYA

We will go to serve, help, feed, take care of students, who are in this school, a place with many shortages and needs. Dedicate two weeks of your time to serve and help the less fortunate. It will be a transforming experience.

FAQ

1Visa

  • E-Visa: As of January 2021, Kenya transitioned to a fully electronic visa system. U.S. travelers should apply online via the eCitizen platform. Visas on arrival are no longer issued at Kenyan airports. Web: evisa.go.ke
  • Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your travel dates.
  • Blank Pages: Ensure you have at least one or two blank pages in your passport for entry stamps.
  • Return/Onward Ticket: You may be asked to show proof of a return or onward flight out of Kenya.

2Things you need to bring to make your trip more enjoyable

  • Toilet Paper (You will regret if you don’t bring any)
  • Plate, bowl, cup, plasticware, mesh bag (come ready to leave these behind as a gift to a student)
  • Kenya primarily uses Type G plugs (the same style used in the UK). The voltage is around 220–240V at 50Hz. If your devices don’t support this, bring a universal adapter and/or power converter.
  • Water (You can only drink the water that will be provided by us)
  • (Sometimes electricity goes out unexpectedly)
  • Bed sheets and Pillow (suggest you carry your pillow under your arms, so you can use it to sleep in the plane as well)
  • Malaria Pills
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Bring 1 Brand New English Bible to give away
  • Small light toys or small stuff animals to give away
  • For Women: Bring modest skirts or dresses for work or volunteer settings, especially in more traditional or rural communities. While you can purchase local clothing (like a kanga or other modest attire), having some skirts on hand is wise.
  • For Men: Long pants are preferred in many work or volunteer scenarios. Shorts may be seen as too casual or inappropriate in some settings.
  • General: Bring enough clothing for your stay, but don’t overpack. Laundry services may be limited, though you can often hand-wash or find local laundry services for a small fee.
  • Toiletries
  • Painkiller and diarrhea medicine
  • Mosquito Net
