Ruaj Ministry  invites you to help in Cambodia in 2024

One of the things that Jesus made very clear is that it is our responsibility to help our neighbor, to feed the hungry, to give drink to the thirsty, to clothe the naked, to visit the needy.

The school is the Adventist International School Siem Reap in Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia.

We will go to serve, help, feed, take care of a population of more than 100 boarding students, who are in this boarding school, a place with many shortages and needs. Dedicate two weeks of your time to serve and help the less fortunate. It will be a transforming experience.

1Visa

  • You will need a valid passport and a Cambodian visa to enter Cambodia. Tourist and business visas are valid for one month from the date of entry into Cambodia.  Cambodia offers on-line visa processing. You may also apply in person at the Cambodian Embassy located at 4530 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011, tel. 202-726-7742, fax 202-726-8381.

2Things you need to bring to make your trip more enjoyable

 

  • Toilet Paper (You will regret if you don’t bring any)
  • Plate, bowl, cup, plasticware, mesh bag (come ready to leave these behind as a gift to a student)
  • The most common types of plugs used in Cambodia are type A (two flat vertical pins), type C (two round pins) and type G (two round pins with two earth clips on the side). These types of plugs are compatible with most electrical outlets in Cambodia.
  • Water (You can only drink the water that will be provided by us)
  • (Sometimes electricity goes out unexpectedly)
  • Bed sheets and Pillow (suggest you carry your pillow under your arms, so you can use it to sleep in the plane as well)
  • Malaria Pills
  • Sunscreen
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Bring 1 Brand New English Bible to give away
  • Small light toys or small stuff animals to give away
  • For ladies, make sure you bring some skirts; during the work time, wearing short or pants is not advised. You can buy a Punjabi (local dress) or Sari for $10 to $20
  • For Men, bring long pants, during the work time, you shouldn’t wear shorts
  • Don’t forget to bring enough clothes, but not too much. We will each bring two suitcases. The second suitcase will be for stuff to bring to donate. Please be prepared to leave the second suitcase behind, unless you plan to fill it up with souvenirs
