JUNE 5: Travel DayDeparture flights from USA

Depart from selected port of departure in USA. Overnight flights to Istanbul, no hotel accommodation. Meals are on your own, or provided by the airline(s).

JUNE 6: Tour Day 1Arrival to Istanbul & Transfer to Hotel

Welcome to Turkey!! Breakfast will either be provided by the airline before your arrival, or it will be on your own upon arrival. When you arrive at ISTANBUL airport, our assistant will be waiting with a Ruaj Ministry sign at the exit door of the international terminal. The rest of the day will be free for you to explore Istanbul on your own or relax at the hotel. Transfer to your hotel. Accommodation in Istanbul.

JUNE 7: Tour Day 2Istanbul Old City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Sultanahmet district to explore the Old Peninsula of Istanbul. We begin with the Blue Mosque to admire its six minarets and the thousands of Iznik tiles inside the building. It is one of the best examples of classical Ottoman architecture. Afterward, we visit the splendid Hagia Sophia Basilica from the 6th century, which was the largest church of the Byzantine era. Lunch at a local and delicious restaurant. We continue to Topkapi Palace, the of Uicial residence and administrative center of the Ottoman sultans for over 400 years, famous for its excellent collections of weapons, jewels, porcelains, and relics (Harem section with an additional ticket). In the afternoon, we visit the Roman Hippodrome Square, where we find the Egyptian obelisk, the German fountain, the Column of Constantine, and the Serpentine Column. At the end of the day, we have free time in the Grand Bazaar. Accommodation in Istanbul.

JUNE 8: Tour Day 3Istanbul / Ankara / Cappadocia

Breakfast and departure in the morning towards Ankara, passing through the Bolu mountains. In Ankara, visit the Atatürk Mausoleum. This mausoleum, dedicated to the founder of modern Turkey, Atatürk, was inaugurated in 1953. It is a marble structure with 40-ton columns, accessible via a long street lined with lions, ending in a vast square. After the tour transfer to Cappadocia to begin your journey to the magical and surprising region of Cappadocia, where its distinctive layers of volcanic lava shape an incredible and unique landscape and history. On the way to Cappadocia, we will visit the salt lake, then transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation in Cappadocia.

JUNE 9: Tour Day 4Cappadocia

Optional early morning hot air balloon ride is available for a spectacular view of the region. (Optional experiences will be an additional cost. Registration and payment for optional experiences will be done once the tour group is finalized – typically within 60 days prior to departure.)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards this fantastic region with its spectacular fairy chimneys, unique in the world, formed by lava from the Erciyes and Hasan volcanoes over 3 million years ago. We start the day with a visit to the Derbent Valley (Valley of Imagination), known for its curious natural rock formations and fairy chimneys shaped like a camel, a hat, and more. Next, we’ll explore the Avcilar and Güvercinlik valleys, which offer spectacular views of the so-called Fairy Chimneys. We will proceed to the Göreme Panorama, where we’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the Fairy Chimneys and the entire Göreme valley. Lunch at a local restaurant during the visit. We will then continue with a visit to the Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley), where we will see fairy chimneys carved into the shapes of churches. During the excursion, we’ll have the chance to visit typical workshops for carpets, onyx, and turquoise, where you can Uind unique local handicrafts.  Dinner at the hotel. Accommodation in Cappadocia.

JUNE 10: Tour Day 5Cappadocia / Laodicea / Pamukkale

Depart Cappadocia early and drive toward Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Explore the ancient ruins, including streets, temples, and theaters that reflect its historical significance. Continue to Pamukkale, known for its stunning white travertine terraces formed by mineral-rich thermal waters. Visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, where you will see a well-preserved theater, necropolis, and ancient baths. Accommodation in Pamukkale.

JUNE 11: Tour Day 6Pamukkale / Philadelphia / Sardes

After breakfast, depart for Philadelphia, another of the Seven Churches, known for its strong early Christian community. Continue to Sardis, the ancient capital of the Lydian Kingdom, where the first coins in history were minted. Visit the impressive gymnasium, synagogue, and Temple of Artemis. After the tour, proceed to Izmir, a lively coastal city on the Aegean Sea. Accommodation in Izmir.

JUNE 12: Tour Day 7Izmir / Thyatira / Pergamon

After breakfast, visit Thyatira, known for its early Christian significance. Then continue to Pergamon, an important cultural and political center of the ancient world. Explore the Acropolis, dramatically situated on a hilltop, and see remains of temples, libraries, and theaters. Return to Izmir in the evening for dinner. Accommodation in Izmir.

JUNE 13: Tour Day 8Ephesus / House of Mary

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we visit the best-preserved ancient city in Asia Minor. We will visit the Temple of Adrian, the Roman Baths, the Library, the Odeon, the Theater, and more. Next, we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary. In the afternoon, we’ll stop by a leather workshop where you can see the famous leather products of the Aegean region. We will then transfer back to Izmir for dinner. Accommodation in Izmir.

JUNE 14: Tour Day 9Ferry to Patmos Island and Patmos Tour

Transfer to the port and board a ferry to Patmos Island in Greece. Upon arrival, visit the Monastery of Saint John, an important religious site overlooking the island, and the Cave of the Apocalypse, where Saint John is believed to have written the Book of Revelation. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the island. Then we return to Kusadasi. Accommodation in Kusadasi.

JUNE 15: Tour Day 10Miletos / Istanbul / Departure

Return to Turkey by ferry and continue to Miletus, an ancient Ionian city known for its large theater and historical importance in philosophy and science. After the visit, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul, or late-night transfer to the airport for departure flights to USA (depending on flight itinerary).

Spots for the extension are limited. If you plan to join the extension, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible, as availability cannot be guaranteed later.

How to Register for the Extension:

  • Complete your main tour registration.
  • On the first page of the tour registration form, check the box indicating that you would like to participate in the extension.
  • Complete all required tour registration steps and submit your registration along with the required deposit.
  • After your tour registration is submitted, you will receive a separate email inviting you to register for the extension. (This email is only sent to travelers who selected the extension during tour registration.)
  • Open the email, click the registration link, enter the password provided, and complete the extension registration form.
  • During the extension registration process, select your preferred room type based on current availability.
  • Submit your extension registration.

Important: Room types are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and each category has limited availability. If you have a preferred room type, we recommend completing your extension registration as soon as possible.

Once your extension registration has been completed, our team will send you a confirmation email verifying your spot on the extension.

Single Supplement (no roommate): +100% of cruise fare: This means you will need to pay the full second fare for the room, as there is no single supplement discount allowed on the cruise.

EXTENSION ITINERARY5 Day/4 Night Greek Isles Cruise Extension Itinerary

DAY 1 (JUNE 16): Kusadasi, Turkey / Ephesus, Turkey / Patmos, Greece

Depart from the port of Kusadasi and begin your journey through the Aegean Sea. Before departure, enjoy a visit to the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. Continue to the Greek island of Patmos, known for its picturesque harbor, charming streets, and significant biblical history.

 

DAY 2 (JUNE 17): Rhodes, Greece

Arrive in Rhodes, one of Greece’s most historic and beautiful islands. Explore its scenic waterfront, medieval atmosphere, and vibrant local culture while enjoying time to stroll through its charming streets and public squares.

 

DAY 3 (JUNE 18): Heraklion, Crete / Santorini, Greece

Begin the day in Heraklion, the capital of Crete, where visitors can experience the island’s rich history, coastal scenery, and lively character. Later, sail to Santorini, famous for its dramatic cliffs, stunning sea views, whitewashed buildings, and unforgettable sunsets overlooking the Aegean Sea.

 

DAY 4 (JUNE 19): Lavrion / Mykonos, Greece

Visit Lavrion, a historic coastal town on the Greek mainland that serves as a gateway to the region’s ancient heritage and beautiful seaside landscapes. Continue to Mykonos, one of the most iconic islands in the Greek Isles, known for its picturesque harbor, winding streets, traditional architecture, and vibrant island atmosphere.

 

DAY 5 (JUNE 20): Kusadasi, Turkey / Return Flights to the United States

Return to the port of Kusadasi, bringing your Greek Isles adventure to a close. After disembarkation, transfer to the airport for your return flight to the United States, taking with you lasting memories of the beautiful islands, historic sites, and breathtaking scenery of the Aegean region.

 

TRAVEL DAY (JUNE 21): Return Flights to the United States

Some return flight itineraries will be overnight, meaning June 21st will be a travel day as well. This will depend on your return flight schedule.

FAQ

Will I need a passport and visa for this tour?

  • Every traveler will be required to have a passport to attend this tour. Your passport must have a VALIDITY of at least 6 MONTHS from the date of your return home. If you do not have a passport, or it will expire sometime before the above listed requirements, please apply for an expedited passport now to make sure you have it in time to register.
  • It is the passenger’s responsibility to check visa requirements for all countries that will be visited, based on the passenger’s individual nationality and citizenship. If a visa is needed for this tour, we will be able to provide proof of registration documents if needed during your application process. Although we are not responsible for your visa(s), our team is always happy to assist with questions or guide you to the right place to help make the visa process easier. You will be responsible for obtaining and paying for your own visa(s), if they are required for you tour.

What happens if I need to cancel my tour after I register?

  • Deposits are always non-refundable and non-transferable, no matter how far in advance the cancellation is requested.
  • This is a trip with promotional prices, which means your cancellation can affect the size of the group and its cost. Therefore, we may charge cancellation fees as follows:
      • Registration to 270 days before trip: Deposit + 40% of the amount paid will be held from the refund amount.
      • 270 to 120 days before trip: Deposit + 80% of the amount paid will be held from the refund amount.
      • 120 days before trip to departure: Deposit + 100% of the amount paid will be held from the refund amount (meaning no refund is available).

  • All late fees are non-refundable.
  • Only written cancellation requests will be considered.
  • Name changes up to 180 days previous to the trip will be considered with a $200 change fee. We cannot guarantee that we can accommodate name changes but will do our best.

Does this tour include travel insurance?

  • This tour does NOT include travel insurance. We strongly suggest you purchase the insurance that is offered during registration. If you do not purchase the travel insurance that we offer, please make sure you are somehow covered, as accidents and unexpected incidents can happen to anyone. Travel insurance does not cover preexisting medical conditions. We suggest adding the insurance at the time of registration, but the time limit to get the insurance is up to 45 days previous to the trip.

What are the terms and conditions I am agreeing to when registering for the tour?

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

  • If you would like to have a hotel room to yourself (with no roommate), there is an additional charge of $ 990 per person.
  • Single supplements must be paid in full up front.
  • If you do not want to pay the single supplement but do not have someone to room with, we will do our best to find a roommate for you. A formal written request for assistance finding a roommate must be made to our team after registration is complete. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to find you a roommate, in which case you will be responsible for paying the single supplement fee. 

Are we expected to pay gratuities on this tour?

  • Tips are not included in the trip payment, but THEY ARE MANDATORY. Tips are calculated at $10 per person per day for 10 days, which will be distributed among: the bus drivers, hotel staff, restaurant staff and guides.
  • In each bus we will have an assigned person who will come to you to collect the $100.
  • Please bring this money in USD, and have it ready to be collected on the first day of the tour.

Is there a dress code we need to follow?

  • We require a modest dress code, as to make sure we are representing the group well. Please keep this in mind and plan accordingly. Within 2 months of the tour, you will receive a packing list from our team with all the details regarding items you may want to bring with you on the tour.

What luggage can I bring on the tour?

  • You will be allowed one standard checked suitcase (up to 50 lbs.), plus one carry-on.
  • The packing list that we provide will include items that should be in the carry-on bag.
  • Additional bags may not be allowed, as luggage space on the buses is limited. If additional luggage is brought on the tour, you may be responsible for the disposal of the luggage (and all associated fees), and/or shipping costs to get your items home.
