Help us feed 200 people a day / 5 days a week in Buenos Aires (Argentina)
Argentina is a great and wonderful country. Just by walking around it’s big cities you can notice the influence that Europe has exerted on the country. However, there is a great need in Argentina that is not so visible. Many people go without meals due to crisis and poverty.
In Buenos Aires, there is a soup kitchen called Emanuel that has the desire to help and bring about a change. At Emanuel, those most affected by the crisis and who are in need can arrive every day to receive a plate of food. In many cases, it is the only meal they will receive that day.
Volunteers arrive every day, despite the cold, heat, or rain, to dedicate hours of work to prepare a plate of nutritious food to fill the stomachs of those who they know will soon come to line up. Those who arrive to have a plate of food set their dignity aside, worried about their children and their families.
More than 200 people are served daily in this place, run by people as needy as those who receive help, but with a desire to serve.
After the job is done, everything must be ready for the next day.
